I lead content teams that consistently drive value.
Fool.com Editorial Growth
I led The Motley Fool’s Editorial team from January of 2024 - April 2025 and witnessed tremendous growth during my tenure. Before you read about some of my favorite wins, here’s a visual of how my site’s revenue per article trended over my first year as a team lead, citing a 16% increase YoY.
My approach to content strategy:
Data-Forward
My approach to content strategy always leads with data analysis. For any new project I work on, my first question is always “What does success look like?” Maybe our goal is to grow a brand new topic vertical. Great! Let’s look at sessions, and what traffic sources are bringing in those sessions. Maybe we’re focused on conversion optimization. Then, let’s look to margin and RPMs. Success can look completely different depending on your end goal, and making sure you’re valuing the right metrics is a remarkably important first step.
Efficient
I am a big believer in opportunity cost, which comes into play often in the world of content strategy. How can we make the biggest splash with limited time and resoures? As a content strategy manager, I’m committed to playing to the strengths of those who report to me, and making sure they prioritize valuable work that they can accomplish triumphantly. I constantly revisit content operations to see see how we can breathe more efficiency into them. And yes, I am no stranger to AI for that!
SEO-Optimized
Digital content is worth nothing if it’s not discoverable. I focus specifically on organic content strategy, and treat Google like a deity. In my practice, I ensure that content is optimized to be crawled, ranked, and favored by Google by following algorithmic and core updates at every turn. At the end of the day, Google values relevant information from high-authority publications. It’s important to continue to lead with that strategy and take no shortcuts because a penalty from the big G is no joke.
